The 20th Anniversary Being Scene Exhibition Call for Submissions is now closed. We are still accepting content for the 20th Anniversary Retrospective. Please see below for more information.

Thank you to all artists who applied. Artists will receive their results mid-January.

Last year, Being Scene exhibited over 100 artworks by 60+ artists. The exhibition covered a wide range of conceptual and material approaches, giving voice to diverse life experiences. This year we invited artists to submit completed artwork for the opportunity to exhibit virtually in a group show for the month of March 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the exhibition will be presented online.

Eligibility open to Workman Arts members and/or artists who have accessed CAMH services only.

20th Anniversary Retrospective

For the 20th Anniversary, we invite artists who have shown in previous Being Scene exhibitions to send any and all photos/videos of their exhibited artwork, memories, and experiences of Being Scene. There will be a virtual retrospective put together of the past 20 years of Being Scene alongside the open call exhibition.

For more info on how to submit these files, please reach out by January 29 to Visual Arts Coordinator: Paulina Wiszowata at paulina_wiszowata@workmanarts.com or 416-583-4339 ext. 6
