CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

BEING SCENE

We are currently looking for visual art enthusiasts to volunteer for Being Scene 2020! Being Scene is an annual exhibition featuring work by Workman Arts members and artists with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction issues. This exhibition includes additional events such as artist talks and tours, a book launch, and discussion panels to explore recurring themes in the show.

Volunteers will be provided snacks on shift and must be able to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours. Being Scene 2020 will take place at Toronto Media Arts Centre from March 7 – 26, 2020, with an opening reception on March 7, 2pm-5pm.

Volunteers are required for the following activities: packing artwork, greeting visitors, wayfinding, attending the gallery, distributing surveys and striking the exhibition.

LONG WINTER

We are currently looking for visual art enthusiasts to volunteer for Long Winter – Year 8, Vol 4  and Long Winter – Year 8, Vol 5!

The events are on the following days (Friday, Feb 21 & Saturday, March 21) and shifts are listed below – all shifts are needed for each event, so feel free to specify which days and shift(s) you’d like to assist with!

Shifts needed for both Feb 21 & March 21

Door Sales: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
Drink/Food Ticket Sales: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
Coat Check Sales: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
Lower Hall Clean-Up & general help: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
Theatre Clean-Up & general help: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
Roseneath Clean Up & general help: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
Green Room Clean Up & general help: 6pm-11pm & 11pm-3am
