ON-SITE ACCESS FOR MEMBERS

Workman Arts is located in the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and public access to our spaces must follow CAMH’s protocols. Please find more about the CAMH visitor policy here.

Access to on-site facilities has been limited to 12-5 PM weekly.

Space must book in advance by using the Google Calendar.

Watch our on-site virtual walkthrough and tutorial videos.

To book a meeting with a staff member on-site please send an email in advance so that we are able to prepare to support you best. For a list of staff contacts, click here.

Best Wishes,

Workman Arts Staff

Members must sign up at least 24 hours in advance using the sign-up sheet (initials or first name only is okay).

Calendar opens weekly and goes live on Wednesday mornings for the following week – use the the tabs below to access the schedule by date.

Slots are 1 hour in length (eg. the 2:00pm slot is 2:00-3:00, etc.). You can book more than one consecutive spot, but please be mindful of how much time you actually need.

Available hours vary by day; last sign-up slot is 1 hour before access ends for the day.

All spaces are shared spaces and not private studios; we are a community space providing access to as many members as possible

Make sure to account for anyone you will be bringing with you with room capacity (eg. Visual Art Studio (capacity 3); input “your name” in first slot and “your name +1” OR “their name” in the other).

If you have questions about the sign-up or need help with the calendar, please send an email to info@workmanarts.com.

If you need to speak with a specific staff member, you can choose a day they are in or make an appointment with them.

PLEASE kindly email or call the office if you cannot make your slot to allow access for as many members as possible.

If you need to borrow equipment, please notify the staff at least 24 hours in advance.

To ensure sessions are allocated fairly, please only select a maximum of 2.5 hours (12pm to 2:30pm or 2:30pm to 5pm). Special considerations may be approved by the Education Manager, Hanan Hazime.

Although we understand situations arise where you may have to cancel, please try to give 24-48 hours notice so we can attempt to offer the time and space to another member. If we notice a pattern of cancellations, it may lead to future restriction from accessing the mentorship program.

Please refer to the schedule for availability and email Don Vaillancourt to secure your chosen time.

For all communication, inquiries and bookings, please email Don at: donvaillancourtworkmanarts@gmail.com

If activities include CAMH patients, then masks must be worn.

If activities occur in clinical units (i.e. Art Cart), then masks must be worn.

Masks should be worn in hallways and elevators.

If the activity is inside Workman Arts and there are no CAMH patients present, then masks don’t have to be worn. At this point, it is up to personal discretion.
