Call for Black Workman Arts Member Note-Taker for AROBA on March 1, 2021

“A Room Of Black Artists: Black Mental Health Symposium and Action” (AROBA) is the first of an annual symposium that promotes Black mental wellness in the arts community. AROBA advocates wellness in Black communities by increasing awareness and reducing stigma around Black mental health issues. Our target audience for the symposium is Black artists, media professionals, filmmakers, and creators to gather to learn through a series of panel discussions about mental wellness and the labels associated with it.

We are seeking a note taker for AROBA to document and summarize both the keynote and panel discussions.

The selected note-taker will receive an honorarium for their time.

To participate, you must:

  • Be a Workman Arts Member
  • Self identify as a Black Artist

If you are interested please submit a brief paragraph (150-250 words) of your note-taking history and samples of your notes to the following email address: kais_padamshi@workmanarts.com

Applicants will be contacted within the week of Monday, January 25th for the selection process as well as to provide those selected with further details regarding the event.
