GIVING TUESDAY 2019

Giving Tuesday is a day when community members join together to rally for their favourite causes, and it takes place on December 3 in 2019.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your help with an urgent need to eliminate our waitlist of over 100 artists with mental health needs wanting to access our programs.

Workman Arts serves 425 artists who identify as having lived experience with mental health and/or addiction issues. Member artists have FREE access to 25+ weekly art classes, 14 studio spaces, materials and equipment, and exhibition and presentation opportunities. On average, 30 artists per month request to join our community. Unfortunately, we have to add every one of those applicants to a growing waitlist.

We have a goal of accepting 100 additional member artists by December 2020. But we can’t do it without you.

  • $25 provides material for one textile art class
  • $50 provides one hour of instruction in an art training class
  • $100 supplies software for the filmmaking class
  • $500 provides TTC tokens for one class for one semester
  • $1000 supports the needs of one new artist for a full year

Your donation will go directly towards supporting member artists through the addition of more daily art classes, hiring additional instructors (who also have lived experience) and purchasing class materials. We hope you can help us reach our goal of 100 new artist members by December 2020!

DECEMBER 3 ONLY – All donations of $25 or more made on our Giving Tuesday page, will receive an additional boost of $5 from CanadaHelps! Donate today and increase the impact of your donation!

Thank you for your support!
