Producer: James Buffin / 2021 / English / Canada
Channel 2400, (episode #1 of an eight part video series) features interviews with artists who identify as having lived experience with mental health and or addictions.
Filmed at the new Workman Arts office housed within the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital, this show highlights the burning passion, audacious talent and extraordinary dedication of the featured artists.
Having interviewed trauma survivors the world over, director James Buffin (Jingle Dress, First Dance) brings his listening skills to the fore with a minimalist approach to this “tell it like it is” project.
Channel 2400 dives deep into the core issues, challenges, struggles and accomplishments of tremendously tenacious people who identify as artists first, in as transparent a way as possible, as a way for them to self-represent.
