Context: A Theatrical Exploration of Mental Health
Written by Adrian Yearwood | Echo Productions | Toronto Media Arts Centre | 60 mins
Saturday, October 20 | 6:00 pm

Context is an exploration of mental health and how it can impact everyday social interactions, and break down the many stigma/assumptions that surround the subject. While so many depictions of mental illness give it a well-defined, recognizable face, the vast majority of people who suffer do so in silence, in the privacy of their own minds. Context offers a window into the mind of a young woman who, unbeknownst to the people around her, is in complete mental distress, and allows us to see both the inner and outer perspectives of her reality.
