Serena McCarroll’s Reconfigures is a series of work made from collected and reconfigured pieces of broken objects. She lives with chronic health conditions that causes her to be clumsy. She bumps into things; she drops objects constantly; she breaks things. Every time this happens, it pains her to throw what’s broken away — the fault wasn’t the object’s, it was hers. So instead, she decided to save the pieces to create her series.
